Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Special Education Teacher License in Texas
- Prior experience working with PreK–1st grade students preferred
- Skilled in managing larger caseloads (approximately 90 students)
- Confident in supporting students with varied needs, especially those receiving speech-only services
- Able to write effective IEPs, participate in ARD meetings, and complete timely progress reports
- Experience supervising or collaborating with paraprofessionals is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to special education students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain regular communication with parents, staff, and service providers
- Attend and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Supervise a team of six paraprofessionals, ensuring smooth classroom operations and student support
- Complete progress reports and contribute to ongoing assessments of student needs
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for all students on your caseload
In this position, you will enjoy competitive pay, with weekly compensation ranging from $40–$45 per hour for 37.5 hours per week, five days a week.
