Location: Plainview, TX
Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week

End Date: May 27, 2027
Grade Levels: PreK–1st Grade
Caseload: Approximately 90 students
We are partnering with a school district in Plainview, TX to hire a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Details
Serve students in PreK through 1st grade
Caseload of approximately 90 students, with many receiving speech-only services
Manage and support a team of 6 paraprofessionals
Develop and maintain student IEPs
Participate in ARD meetings
Complete progress reports and monitor student progress
Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers
Provide individualized instruction and support based on student needs
Qualifications
Active Texas Special Education Teacher License required
Experience working with early childhood/elementary special education students preferred
Experience writing IEPs and participating in ARD meetings preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage a large caseload and coordinate effectively with paraprofessional staff
