Special Education Teacher | Petersburg, Texas

In this role, you will guide a group of approximately 90 young learners, collaborating with a dedicated team of six paraprofessionals. Your expertise will be vital in managing diverse needs, crafting individualized education plans, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Special Education Teacher license in Texas (TX)
- Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Experience leading or collaborating with paraprofessional staff
- Skilled at completing progress reports and participating in ARD meetings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for working with early elementary students
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct instruction and support for students across PreK-1st grade
- Collaborate with six paraprofessionals to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Design, write, and implement effective IEPs tailored to student needs
- Consistently document and assess progress, providing comprehensive reports
- Participate in ARD meetings as an essential team contributor
- Partner closely with families, staff, and specialists to support student growth
