This role involves supporting PreK-1st grade students, many requiring only speech services. As a leader, you’ll supervise six paraprofessionals and help shape individualized learning journeys, empowering a classroom community and fostering academic success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher License in Texas
- Experience writing IEPs and conducting progress monitoring
- Ability to lead/coordinate paraprofessionals
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning
Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of approximately 90 students (PreK-1st grade, many speech-only)
- Write and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings
- Supervise and provide guidance to six paraprofessionals
- Complete timely progress reports and maintain accurate records
- Cultivate a supportive, nurturing classroom environment
