This role is dedicated exclusively to onsite support. You'll collaborate closely with school staff and leadership to ensure each student receives specialized instruction tailored to their abilities. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of May 2027, with steady hours—35 per week, seven hours per day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida ESE certification (Exceptional Student Education)
- Valid K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification (Florida)
- Solid previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom
- Strong classroom management and adaptable instructional skills
- Commitment to accommodating a range of learning levels and exceptionalities
Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained ESE classroom for elementary-aged students (single school placement; location to be confirmed)
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Create and sustain a supportive classroom environment with clear expectations
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
- Document student progress and participate in parent and team meetings
Additional Information:
- Timely completion of fingerprinting for credentialing is mandatory (transferable through AHCA Clearinghouse if already completed)
- Participation in a virtual prescreen interview and an internal eligibility review is required
- Flexibility to support other grade levels may be possible based on your preferences
