Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida ESE certification required
- Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
- Demonstrated experience leading self-contained ESE classrooms
- Familiarity working with a range of exceptionalities and learning levels
- Previous fingerprint clearance via the AHCA Clearinghouse, or willingness to complete fingerprints as required
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
- Ready to complete a virtual prescreen interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a self-contained ESE classroom on-site at one assigned school
- Develop and adapt lesson plans for varying student abilities and IEP goals
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe class environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, and related service providers
- Collect data and track student progress to inform instructional strategies
- Ensure timely documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines
Role Details:
- Full academic school year, starting as soon as possible through late May
- Commitment of 35 hours each week, onsite only
- Focused primarily on elementary learners, with an effort to consider educator preferences
- Fingerprinting and credentialing streamlined for those previously cleared through Florida districts
