Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with varying disabilities and needs
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for students’ unique learning styles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct instruction in small-group and individual settings
- Modify lessons, materials, and assessments to meet each student’s specific needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, support professionals, and parents to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing team collaboration
