This contract opportunity is located near Levittown, PA and focuses on Grades 6–8, running from August 17 through June 11 with consistent weekly hours (8:00 am–3:45 pm). You’ll partner with dedicated educators to foster a positive, inclusive experience for learners receiving special education services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Instructional I or II Pennsylvania Certification in K–12 Special Education required
- Previous experience working with middle school students in special education preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance
- Proven skills in adapting curriculum and instruction for diverse learning needs
- Effective communicator able to collaborate with school personnel, parents, and students
- Excellent organizational skills, including case management and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to small groups and in resource/push-in/pull-out settings
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs, maintaining documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are met
- Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Support a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages social and academic growth
- Serve as a case manager, acting as a liaison between school teams and families
