What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education (SPED) certificate
- IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Full-time availability from July 27 through May 21, 2027 (CIE required July 21-24)
- Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities or with challenges in prosocial/self-regulatory skills
- Familiarity with student needs related to at-risk populations, English language proficiency, or exceptional abilities
- Skills in developing and implementing special services activities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and district requirements
- Completion of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or willingness to attend staff development opportunities
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve full-time in an onsite capacity (remote work is not available)
- Support classroom populations in various caseloads, including Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, Life Skills/CBT, and STRIVE (self-contained, behavioral and autism support environments)
- Collaborate with colleagues, service providers, and district staff to best support student growth and functional academics
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and participate in IEP development and implementation
