Each position is school-based with a consistent, school-day schedule and includes dynamic programs across Autism Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, and Emotional Support classrooms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Pennsylvania Special Education certification preferred/required (based on specific program)
- Proven experience in special education classroom settings
- Strong competency in developing and implementing IEP goals
- Excellent classroom management and organization skills
- Confidence collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families
Preferred Experience Includes:
- Working with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ABA-informed strategies (Autism Support)
- Utilizing visual and communication supports, BIPs, and sensory regulation strategies
- Teaching students with significant/complex needs using adapted curriculum and life skill instruction (Multiple Disabilities Support)
- Providing personal care support and facilitating collaboration with related service providers
- Leading classrooms with behavioral or emotional support needs, implementing trauma-informed practices, and crisis prevention (Emotional Support)
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction tailored to individualized student needs
- Implement evidence-based interventions and specialized supports
- Develop and monitor IEP goals and academic progress
- Engage in active classroom management and behavior supports
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Assignment details:
- Contract spans August 10, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (aligned with school calendar)
- Weekly schedule closely follows 7:00 AM–3:30 PM dependent on school and classroom
- Applicants must be within a 35-minute commute from assignment location
