Work closely with approximately 10 students, tailoring instruction and fostering growth in a structured and supportive environment. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, to June 7, 2027, with onsite hours from 7:20 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Indiana teaching license in Special Education (active status required; please be ready to provide a screenshot of your credential)
- Experience working in secondary education, particularly with Life Skills or similar programs, is highly encouraged
- Strong collaborative skills for working with support staff, therapists, and families
- Capacity to create differentiated instructional plans and adapt materials
- Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in core academic and daily living skills
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
- Document student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
