What We’re Looking For:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credential (required)
- Experience in elementary SPED settings, preferably within a Special Day Class model
- Strong skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and student engagement
- Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively
- Commitment to collaboration with school staff, families, and service providers
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to elementary students in a self-contained classroom
- Maintain accurate records and develop/monitor IEP goals for all assigned students
- Modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
