Special Education Teacher - Tempe, Arizona

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with moderate/severe student populations preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of working with medically fragile children
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student abilities and needs
- Develop and update IEPs in cooperation with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise classroom assistants and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment
- Monitor and track student progress towards academic and developmental goals
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on student feedback and outcomes
- Foster a compassionate, respectful classroom culture sensitive to each student’s medical and educational requirements
