Special Education Teacher - Thomaston, Connecticut

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials.
- Previous experience working with PreK populations or in a self-contained classroom strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with staff and families.
- Ability to adapt and innovate to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Commitment to student-focused, inclusive, and empathetic instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and interventions for students with varying abilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and positive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with teams and families for holistic student support.
- Document progress and participate in meetings as required.
