Special Education Teacher - Boulder, CO

Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or in process (proof required with application)
- At least one year of classroom experience, ideally with special education populations
- Demonstrated flexibility and collaboration as a team player
- Strong writing skills for IEPs, BSPs, and documentation
- Experience managing a classroom and working with students in both school and community settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of approximately 12 students at the Transitions Center, fostering job and life skills
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs)
- Collect and analyze data to ensure students’ progress and compliance with established goals
- Deliver instruction both in-class and in real-world environments, such as workplaces and community programs
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners to design effective, customized learning opportunities
- Maintain clear, concise records and communication with staff and families
This is a full-time, onsite role with a standard schedule of 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and includes daily paid and unpaid breaks. You’ll find valuable experience working as part of a supportive, mission-driven school environment, deeply impacting students’ abilities to thrive independently.
