Special Education Teacher | Olathe, Colorado

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education License or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity
- Previous experience working with elementary students is highly valued
- Solid understanding of IDEA and special education compliance requirements
- Proven skills in collaboration and communication with colleagues, families, and service providers
- Ability to maintain thorough IEP records and required documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEPs and support their ongoing academic and social growth
- Document and monitor individual student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state special education standards
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and collaborate closely with district staff, parents, and additional service providers
- Adapt educational strategies to meet evolving student needs in both resource and inclusion environments
- Maintain a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages positive development
