Special Education Teacher - Burnsville, MN

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure in Special Education with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with physical or health impairments
- Proven ability to assess classroom environments and recommend appropriate curriculum or accessibility modifications
- Strong understanding of assistive technology and its role in student success
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for working alongside related service providers and classroom teachers
- Comfortable with an itinerant/on-site work model
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultations for staff on accessibility, modifications, and the use of assistive technology
- Conduct comprehensive functional evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Manage due process requirements and monitor ongoing student progress
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and general education teachers to create holistic supports
- Serve students across multiple grade levels (K-12)
- Maintain timely, accurate records and documentation
