Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for advocating for students with special needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and interventions for students with special needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive environment
- Serve as a case manager, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation related to student progress and compliance
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic growth
