Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification for Massachusetts
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff
- Creative problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to address the unique needs of each learner
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, specialists, and school teams
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed, maintaining accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families regarding student development
