Desired Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Current state certification or license in Special Education
- Experience adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledge of best practices and legal requirements in special education
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction to support students with a diverse range of learning differences
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide progress monitoring and regular assessment, communicating results to parents and staff
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals to deliver comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with state and federal regulations
