Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, Case Manager, or similar role
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Manage student caseloads, ensuring all documentation and legal requirements are met
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and support staff to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to inform instructional strategies
- Lead IEP meetings and serve as an advocate for students receiving special education services
- Support classroom accommodations and modifications to promote student success
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
