Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with students with developmental cognitive disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies for individualized learning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse classroom settings and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational programs for DCD students
- Assess student progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure meaningful growth
- Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that fosters engagement
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Maintain accurate student records and comply with state and district requirements
- Manage the day-to-day activities of a classroom including organizing materials and routines
- Serve as an advocate for student needs both in and out of the classroom
