Two contract assignments are currently available for skilled Special Education Teachers to provide coverage for planned maternity leaves. Both roles are scheduled to begin in August (exact start dates to be confirmed), with one extending through October 30, 2026, and the other through December 18, 2026.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential/current state licensure
- Previous experience working in a school-based special education environment
- Ability to effectively implement IEPs and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Skilled in differentiating instruction and managing diverse classroom needs
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs during contract assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Assess student progress, adjust lesson plans, and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, general education staff, and families to support each student’s success
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment conducive to growth and development
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent communications, and professional development as required
