Key Qualifications:
- Valid credential in Special Education (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or relevant authorization)
- Demonstrated classroom experience supporting diverse learners and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate for students with a variety of learning needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet evolving student requirements
- Previous school-based Special Education teaching experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals and individual strengths
- Conduct assessments, collect progress data, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create cohesive learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication with stakeholders
- Implement behavioral and academic interventions as needed to maximize student growth and participation
- Support a positive, safe school environment for all students
