Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed or eligible for Special Education certification in New York
- Preferred: Early Childhood Special Education and/or K–12 Special Education credentials
- Experience supporting students with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt instruction to a range of academic and behavioral needs
- Passionate about fostering academic, emotional, and social growth
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, onsite schedules:
- Kindergarten/Elementary: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Preschool: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Lead a classroom of 6–12 students, in settings with robust support: 1 teacher and 3 staff per room
- Implement IEPs and collaborate closely with other professionals
- Provide inclusive, engaging instruction aligned with state requirements
- Support behavioral goals when needed, including individualized plans for some students
- Focus areas available in both preschool and elementary (grades 1–3)
- All classrooms are located within the New Windsor area
