Special Education Teacher | Newburgh, New York

Open Positions:
- Kindergarten/Elementary Special Education Teacher
- Grades 1–3 coverage prioritized
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Preschool Special Education Teacher (SFP Program)
- High need for preschool classroom coverage
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a school-based special education setting (preferred)
- NYS certification in Early Childhood Special Education and/or K–12 Special Education (preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation and individualized behavioral support
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic
- Enthusiasm for working in classrooms with 6-12 students and a collaborative support team
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver IEP-driven instruction tailored to students’ developmental levels
- Foster a nurturing, engaging, and positive classroom climate
- Collaborate with paraprofessional staff and related service providers
- Implement behavioral interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and program requirements
